About BarCareers

BarCareers was established in 1999. The goal was to bring together qualified bartenders with quality establishments fro across the nation. Having been bartenders, bar managers and bar owners the creators of BarCareers recognized not only the need for quality staff members but the failures of traditional bartender training. Bartenders play a pivotal role in the hospitality industry. Bar owners place an enormous amount of faith that their employees will not only provide quality customer service but protect them from the numerous liabilities associated with alcohol service.

To that affect, BarCareers has designed an easy to use system that allows us to educate bartenders not only on the basic elements of bartending but on the responsibilities associated with bartending. At the core of this training is our Responsible Beverage Service course. At the very minimum all of the bartenders we train will have a firm understanding of the key elements of responsible beverage service. This training is our guarantee to alcohol serving establishments that the employees they find through our network are qualified to work as bartenders.

Having created a simplified bartender training program the next goal was to create a network to connect these qualified bartenders with establishments looking for employees. We created the BarCareers Affiliate Network which consists of bars, taverns, nightclubs, restaurants and hotels from across the nation. These establishments can utilize our resources to find employees free of charge and understand that the bartenders we recommend come with our full endorsement. This endorsement guarantees that our bartenders understand how to bartend, provided quality customer service and have a clear understanding of the laws and regulations associated with bartending.

Once you go through our training program you will have access to our job network which assists you in your job search in two ways. First, you will list all of the establishments you are interested in working for. Our placement coordinators will then contact each establishment and notify them that not only are you interested in employment but have the necessary qualifications for their establishment. Second, you will have full access to our Job Network. This is basically the help wanted section of all the bartending jobs that are available on a day to day basis.
